Meghan Gordon

Meghan Gordon paints, sculpts and performs queries into the merits of the museum as an authoritative source. Born in New York and a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Gordon lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Gordon has received grants from the New York Foundation for the Arts, Leon Levy Foundation, the Victorian Society of America, and the Florence Leif Foundation. She has been awarded residencies at Sculpture Space (NY), the Guangdong Times Museum (China), the Dieu Donné Papermill (NY), the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Workspace Program (NY), the Winter Workspace Program at Wave Hill (NY), Art342 (CO), the MacDowell Colony (NH), the Seven Below Arts Initiative (VT), the Fine Arts Work Center (MA), and at the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center (NE). Gordon’s most recent solo show at the Sunroom Project Space at Wave Hill, Bronx, NY, explored the history of the estate using the artist and explorer Frederick Samuel Dellenbaugh (1853-1935) as a conduit to connect historical and architectural fragments of information.
